Thesis - NTSC Software Receiver

I have implemented a prototype frame detector that does vertical and horizontal sync detection. The synch detection is done using a simple threshold method (very crude but good enough for a prototype). This software is written using GNU Radio. It is a set of blocks and a python script. To use this software untar the archive in your gnuradio home directory.

cd $GNURADIO_HOME
tar xvfz gr-video-analog.tgz
cd gr-video-analog
./configure
make
sudo make install
cd ../gnuradio-examples/python/usrp
./usrp_tv_rcv_testingNTSC.py -n -f 481.25M -d 26

The snippet above should give you a good idea of how to use the blocks. The -f controls the frequency you are tunned to. You can find frequencies at:

Any feedback would be appreciated!
